We are Squad A of the Troy Police Department in Troy, Missouri. We are asking to raise funds for our Sergeant, Chad McCallister. Sergeant McCallister was recently told he needs to have open-heart surgery, some of which is not covered by insurance. This surgery will keep him out of work for an extended time, which will undoubtedly cause financial strain. There will be a period of time that Sgt. McCallister will not receive pay due to running out of PTO and sick time. This GoFundMe page is to raise funds for Sgt. McCallister and his family to help them with the medical expenses and everyday financial burdens. All funds raised will go to the McCallister family.

Sgt. McCallister has served in law enforcement for over 27 years. He has worked in St. Charles County, Cottleville, Moscow Mills, and Palestine, Texas. He is currently in charge of the K9 Unit at Troy and was a K9 Officer himself. He has been with the Troy Police Department for the last 13 years of his career. Sgt. McCallister and his family have already experienced the burden of being out of work long-term. In 2020, Sgt. McCallister was severely injured in the line of duty, due to being dragged by a vehicle.
