For my senior capstone, I wrote and will be directing a short film titled Seven Doors. It is a psychological horror short about a teenage girl who undergoes a haunting ritual with her friends in the woods that forces her to confront her deepest fears and inner turmoil. At its core, this story explores to concept of OCD as not just a disorder, but a mental and physical barrier. It’s personal to me because, like Eve, the protagonist, I’ve faced moments of isolation and self-doubt but have seen how powerful storytelling can be for healing and connection.
We’re aiming to raise $5,500 to bring this project to life with the quality, emotion, and visual impact it deserves. Every donation will help create a visceral, atmospheric world that reflects the heart of the story.
How the funds raised will be used:
$1,200 for Food & Craft Services: To nourish our hardworking cast and crew on long shoot days.
$1,000 for Costumes, Props & Set Design: From eerie doorways to symbolic clothing and ritual objects, these are essential to building the story’s world.
$900 for Makeup & Special Effects: Practical effects like realistic wounds, blood, and supernatural elements to bring the horror alive.
$800 for Generator Rental & Power Equipment: Since we’re filming in deep forest locations with no electricity.
$800 for Set Transportation & Location Fees: For hauling equipment and securing safe, legal shooting spaces.
$800 for Festival Fees & Post-Production Costs: So we can share Seven Doors with audiences at film festivals around the world.
This story isn’t just a horror short, but a reflection of what it feels like to carry fear in silence, and what it means to walk through it. Your donation helps tell that story and may help someone feel less alone.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you donate, share, or just cheer us on, your support means everything.
