Seth Waldo grew up in Haines, Alaska and has spent his life surrounded by the incredible landscape of Southeast Alaska. After high school he spent a few years figuring out his path before eventually building a career in telecommunications. Outside of work, Seth’s true passions are fly fishing, tying flies, spending time near the water, playing disc golf, and making memories with good company. He is known by the people around him for his adventurous spirit, his love of the outdoors, and his kindness toward everyone he meets.

Recently, Seth made the big decision to leave Southeast Alaska for a new career opportunity in Anchorage as a project engineer. While traveling to begin this next chapter of his life, tragedy struck. Seth was involved in a head-on collision with a semi truck. The crash left him with multiple broken bones, internal bleeding, and a severe concussion. Thankfully he survived, but the road to recovery will take time, patience, and support.

The accident did not only affect Seth physically and mentally. His truck was completely totaled and many of his personal belongings were lost or damaged in the crash, including items important for both work and recreation. He has also faced a number of unexpected costs during his recovery, including travel, replacement of essential gear, and other expenses that come with rebuilding life after such a serious accident. Because Seth has been unable to work while recovering, these challenges have added financial strain during an already difficult time.

This fundraiser is meant to help Seth regain stability while he focuses on healing and working toward getting back on his feet. The support will help replace important items that were lost or damaged, assist with unexpected recovery related costs, and help him get settled in Anchorage once he is healthy enough to begin working again.
