Our dear friend and co-worker, Serina, recently received devastating news. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Stage 3 breast cancer. She has gone through extensive testing and work ups and unfortunately found out that the cancer has metastasized and the cancer has progressed to stage 4. The next phase will involve intensive treatments, appointments, procedures and recovery time, which means she'll have to take an extended leave from work. As you can imagine, as a single mom and soon to be first time grandmother, the financial strain that comes with medical bills, medications, travel costs and every day expenses is overwhelming. She faces a tough battle ahead.

Through this life altering news, Serina continues to show up to work with a positive outlook. Her attitude through this difficult time is truly admirable. Serina has always been the kind of person who gives everything she has to others- whether it's her time, her kindness, or her smile, and we cannot forget to mention her contagious laugh. Now, it's our turn to give back to her.
