Sergio has faced unimaginable challenges over the past five years. After being diagnosed with liver disease and portal hypertension, he lost his memory and became quadriplegic. Through sheer determination, he’s learned to walk again and manage daily tasks, all while enduring countless outpatient procedures, hospital trips, and weekly ER visits. His life is nothing short of a miracle from God. Sergio’s strength and resilience has inspired so many. Despite his own struggles, Sergio recently made the selfless decision to decline a liver transplant so that someone else in greater need could receive it. This act of kindness speaks volumes about his character, even as he continues to fight for his own health.
