Dear Friends,
Our dear Sergio journeyed on from this world on December 9, 2024 while he was at home. He was a loving and optimistic man, a dependable brother and friend, and he was a most devoted father. He will be tremendously missed.
As some may have already known, Sergio had been diagnosed with Stage 4 bile duct cancer, back in September. As soon as he was able to, he began an aggressive course of treatment. All the way, even through these grueling last weeks, he remained optimistic, especially in front of his children. He cherished his children and wanted them to know that he fought as hard as he could to stay here with them; however, his body became too weak to continue with chemotherapy treatments.
In the days leading up to his departure, we did our best to make him as comfortable as possible, while also communicating our love and appreciation for him. He had a one-of-a-kind light and we feel blessed to have witnessed it.
