Help My Wife Fight Aggressive Bladder Cancer So She Can Keep Being the Mom Our Baby Deserves

Hi, my name is Kimmani Wright, and I’m asking for your help to support my amazing wife, Sera, through one of the hardest battles of her life: a recurring bladder cancer diagnosis at just 29 years old.

Sera is not only my wife; she’s the mother of our beautiful 1-year-old daughter and the heart of our home. She’s kind, nurturing, and the most selfless person I know. Watching her care for our little girl with so much love, joy, and patience makes this diagnosis even more heartbreaking.

Earlier this year, Sera underwent a procedure called TURBT, where a malignant tumor was removed from her bladder. We hoped it was behind us. But at her post-op appointment, we were devastated to find out that the tumor had already grown back.

We now know that this is an aggressive form of cancer, and seeing a regular urologist isn’t enough anymore. Sera urgently needs to see an oncologist to determine her next steps, which could include another surgery, scans, and possibly more extensive cancer treatment. But we’re facing a huge barrier: Sera doesn’t have health insurance, and I am the sole provider for our family.

The stress of figuring out how to pay for life-saving care while caring for our baby is overwhelming. We’re doing everything we can, but we need help.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

• Oncology appointments and evaluations

• Medical imaging, lab work, and a potential second surgery

• Treatment options and supportive therapies

• Childcare and transportation to appointments

• Basic living expenses while we navigate this crisis

Sera is a fighter, but more than anything, she’s a mother. She wants to be here to watch our daughter grow up, to take her to her first day of school, braid her hair, read her bedtime stories, and guide her through life. That’s what we’re fighting for: a future for our family, together.
