On Saturday, August 23, 2025, I was involved in a serious E scooter accident while riding down a steep hill. My front tire hit a pothole, throwing me to the ground with such force that I broke two bones in my right arm. The pain was intense, and I needed emergency surgery to have metal rods and screws placed in my bones. Along with the arm injury, I suffered a severe concussion and head trauma, which left me confused and with memory loss about the accident. My right leg was also badly swollen, making it difficult to walk without help.
After a four-hour surgery and three days in the hospital, I began physical and occupational therapy to start my recovery. I’m now home, but my journey is far from over. I have upcoming outpatient appointments for hand therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy to help me regain my strength and independence. My parents and close friends have been by my side, offering support and care, especially as this all happened just days before my 25th birthday. Their love has helped me through some of the hardest moments.
I’m raising funds to help cover the costs of my surgery, ER services, and ambulance visits. The final bills are still being processed by insurance, but I know the expenses will be significant. Facing this kind of debt right as I turn 25 is overwhelming, and I’m hoping for support from my community to help me focus on healing instead of worrying about medical bills. Any contribution would mean the world to me as I work toward recovery and look forward to brighter days ahead.
