Hola! I'm raising funds for the online platforms I use in my Middle School Spanish classes! My school district does not provide lesson plans for World Languages, but an outline of WHAT to teach. I teach 3 different Spanish levels to 3 different grades and have roughly 180 students. As there is no specific lesson plans for me to follow, I curate each lesson on a daily basis, developing Spanish language proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I have a maximum of 80 minutes of daily planning time during the school day to accomplish this.

We use A LOT of different online platforms in class to make this happen, and utilizing the premium features of these platforms allows for more live student engagement, individual accounts for each students, as well as monitoring of their progress.

Friends, family and parents ask how they can support my classroom, and this is by far the highest expense in my class that is not funded. We utilize these platforms regularly, most on a daily basis! Each one is student and teacher approved! They yield excellent student results in engagement and growth in my students' Spanish language development.

Of course, I purchase a plethora of miscellaneous classroom supplies and students incentives throughout the year! __GIMKIT - $60__

Vocabulary practice and review. Independent practice and live whole class play! We often use Gimkit as a warm-up to review vocabulary in a fun, engaging and competitive way prior to diving into the daily lesson. We also utilize it in live mode at the end of the week to review the week’s vocabulary while student’s battle it out in a collaborative game mode. Gimkit provides each student’s score, as well as what vocabulary is regularly being missed so I can determine any opportunities to reinforce vocabulary or phrases!

__BLOOKET Plus - $36__

Used similarly to Gimkit, but with different game modes so we can keep students on their toes while engaging with their Spanish vocabulary! I use both Gimkit and Blooket to assign optional homework so students may also practice at home in a way that they enjoy!

__Señor Wooly - $199__

An absolute saving grace and a joy. In my introductory Spanish classes, I teach beginner level students, which the class is designed for, as well as fluent and Native Spanish speaking students who currently do not have the opportunity to take Spanish for Native Speakers. Señor Wooly provides incredibly fun, short graphic novels designed for Spanish students at all levels. The comic book style stories adjust based on each student's Spanish level, and asks comprehension questions accordingly. There is also the option to listen as you read so students are growing in both their reading AND listening comprehension. It. Is. Awesome. The stories are fun, silly and engaging! It has been an incredible resource, especially for more advanced students who complete required assignments more quickly and still want to learn! It has also been very fun and provided growth for beginner level students who get into the stories and review the page glossary to piece together any vocabulary they haven’t learned- just so they can continue the story! It's a wonderfully supportive resource that allows students of all Spanish levels to grow and thrive!

__Quizlet - $36__

I utilize Quizlet to store each vocabulary unit so that every student has access to it at any time! Students use it in and out of the classroom to review, practice, study and learn Spanish vocabulary.

__Conjuguemos - $70__

This is the best platform for verb conjugation practice I have discovered. Not only does it provide basic practice in conjugating verbs, there are many games built in that I can assign to students or play live in class. Okay, that’s right, it actually makes conjugating verbs FUN. Students LOVE this platform. I have seen the most growth when it comes to conjugating verbs in Spanish through Conjuguemos. It is so specialized that I can identify exactly which verbs, which tenses and which pronouns I want students to work on at a time. It's super fun and effective!
