At 5:00 am on September 11th, 2018 a semi-truck driver fell asleep at the wheel and careened off road into an apartment building in Lansing, IL.
Matthew was asleep in the basement apartment of the building when the truck buried him in rubble.
He was rushed to the Advocate Christ Hospital where they worked to stabilize and heal his broken neck, broken ribs, fractured spine, damaged kidney, and ruptured spleen.
While Matthew is recovering in the hospital, his friends, family, and co-workers are trying to raise support for his healthcare costs.
Because the truck destroyed the building where he lived, Matthew currently needs a place to stay, and help to cover the medical costs.
We are asking for $8,000 to help support his recovery. You can read more about his story here.
