Support Self-Image Healing Workshop
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Victoria Farr. I am a senior college student at Spartanburg Methodist College in South Carolina. I am receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
In order to graduate in May, I have to complete a capstone project this semester. A capstone project is an event, business, or awareness of a problem you are trying to solve.
My capstone project is called Adjust Your Crown. This will be an interactive workshop that is designed to improve the self-image among individuals who have experienced a traumatic event. A traumatic event or situation can be anything that caused a person to think negatively about themselves. It could come from an unexpected medical diagnosis, the death of a loved one, a toxic or abusive relationship, friendship, or family. It could come from something that happened in childhood, teenage years, or adulthood. Sometimes we don’t realize how our negative self-talk or feelings come from other people.
I will be hosting 3 events that will teach people tips and tricks on how to identify where their negative self-talk came from and what they can do to improve how they feel about themselves in spite of what they have been through.
I am raising money to go towards executing these events. Funds raised will go towards feeding participants of the project for all three events, art supplies and materials, and prizes for those that attend. This would also help me gain experience in fundraising for when I start my own non-profit after graduation. If you would like to donate, I would be very grateful for anything you give. If you aren’t able to donate, a share of this would be more than enough. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
