Support Selene’s Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

My name is Melanie, Selene's close friend, I’ve created this GoFundMe on her behalf because Cancer has taken away her ability to work, and she would never ask for help herself. We are hoping to raise $40,000.00 to help cover the next eight months, which will be the most difficult and critical part of her treatment. These funds will help provide stability, so Selene can focus on healing, resting, rather than living in constant fear of losing her home.

Just months ago, Selene Padilla of Temecula, California was told everything was fine.

In February 2025, she went for a routine mammogram that came back negative. There were no warning signs. No indication of what was about to come.

Then, in June 2025, out of nowhere, Selene felt a lump in her breast. By July, after undergoing a biopsy, her life changed forever. Selene was diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma Stage four Breast Cancer along with Lymphoma. What began as a normal year quickly turned into a fight for her life.

Selene is a devoted mother of three and a proud grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren, who are her entire world. She’s known by everyone who loves her as kind, selfless, and always willing to help others often putting their needs before her own. She has spent her life giving to others. Now she is facing the most difficult battle imaginable.

Selena is currently undergoing chemotherapy, a physically and emotionally exhausting and aggressive treatment that has taken away her ability to work with no source of income, she is now struggling to keep up with basic living expenses while focusing on survival. Her monthly house payment is $3,700.00, not including utilities, food, transportation, or other daily necessities. On top of this, the copayments required for her cancer treatments have become increasingly difficult to manage, adding immense financial strain during an already overwhelming situation.

And this is only the beginning of her journey. After chemotherapy, Selena will still need to undergo surgery following by radiation therapy. She has a long and challenging road ahead. Months of treatment, recovery, and uncertainty. The last thing she should have to worry about is whether she will be able to keep her home while fighting for her life.
