Hi, my name is Jennifer. I’m a 50 year old single mom supporting my 25 year old daughter Selena as she recovers from a traumatic brain injury sustained in the early hours of March 13, 2026.

She lost consciousness, hit her head on the elevator railing, fell lifeless to the ground, and suffered a 2 minute seizure. She required 6 staples to close her head injury. 

Selena’s CT scan revealed signs of advanced aging in her brain. What follows next are a series of specialists and tests to determine the best course of action.

She has a concussion, but is in good spirits considering the circumstances. Resting at home, Selena will need time and support in her recovery. This means she will not be able to work for a yet undetermined period of time.

This has the potential to be an important turning point for Selena, for a fresh start. But she will need support through her journey.

Any funds raised through this GoFundMe will support Selena’s monthly living expenses like rent and groceries, transportation to and from appointments and supportive therapies that may not be covered by OHIP.
