Hi everyone, my name is Selena and I am a senior at the University of Maryland finishing my final 12 credits to graduate this May.

While I am so close to the finish line, I am also navigating stage 5 kidney failure and nightly peritoneal dialysis. Recently, a hospitalization for fluid retention and rising medical debts have made it incredibly hard to focus on my health and my studies. Being a first-generation student, I am determined to earn my degree, but the financial burden of treatments and medication like Cellcept is overwhelming.
