Help the Metzlers: Selah's Life-Saving Journey

Our dear friends, the Metzlers, are in urgent need of support. Their daughter Selah was suddenly airlifted to the hospital for an immediate blood transfusion. The situation was dire: Selah went into aplastic crisis, a dangerous form of anemia that can lead to heart failure. As her father Christian shared, in a moment of sheer panic, Selah's mother, Casey, had to make the terrifying decision to trust in a life-saving blood transfusion. The fear was palpable, yet so was their faith: "We must trust God," Casey said, echoing her husband's heartfelt prayers.

As Christian drove down the highway, tears streaming down his face, he cried out to God, asking for His mercy to save their beloved daughter. The moment was overwhelming, filled with the sounds of Selah's screams and the desperate pleas of parents forced to hand over their child's fate to a power greater than themselves. Christian, filled with gratitude and humility, recognized the love and support pouring in from friends and family around the world.

Three days later, Selah sleeps peacefully, scheduled for surgery to remove her gallbladder. Despite the hardship, the Metzlers are deeply thankful. Their doctor shared the good news: Selah can keep her spleen. The family continues to lean on their faith, grateful for every prayer and kind word.

Christian read Leviticus 17:11 to Selah, a verse that has taken on a profound meaning for their family: “For the life of every living thing is in the blood.” In Selah's case, a stranger's blood gave her life. Just as Christ’s blood gives us new life, Selah’s life was renewed through the generosity of another.

The Metzlers are now facing significant medical expenses. While our initial goal is to raise $20,000 to help cover Selah's hospital bills, ongoing treatments, and support for her family, we know this amount is just a start. The actual costs will far exceed this goal. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting Selah’s recovery and easing the financial burden on the Metzler family.
