I'm very excited to announce that I'm working on my second short film titled, SECTOR-1218.
Sector-1218 is a coming of age story of two teenage girls (Blanca & Amalia) who must face great adversity during a war setting. Together they persevere through their friendship and art.
As you may know, It takes a village to get these type of projects made, so I'm reaching out to raise funds for the initial pre-production costs. This will include concept art, designs, storyboards, and animatic before going to final animation. Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated.
SECTOR-1218 will be produced by one of my favorite filmmakers, Sebastián Cordero (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0179542/)
Synopsis
After the breakout of a great civil war, a once powerful nation became fractured. As a rebellion fights to heal the country, the dictatorship that tore them apart has now retreated into hidden strongholds known as sectors. Here they govern under their own rules and use resources as they see fit. These sectors often act as shelters for the orphaned children from the war. Some say they are a refuge, but many say they’re just slave camps…This is the story of Sector 1218.
Director’s Statement
This is a personal project inspired by events I experienced in high school and also by the political climate of 9/11 and now. Even though there is much darkness in the world, we must still have hope and fight for the right to live and express ourselves in peace.
Follow SECTOR-1218 for updates!
Thank-you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
CHOGRIN
