In Memory of Owen: Support Second Chance Pet Adoptions

On October 10, 2020, Laura and Josh Schroeder lost their son, Owen, a happy, active four-year-old with a great sense of humor and a love of animals, to an unexpected tragedy.

Last October, to celebrate Owen's memory, Josh and Laura hosted the First Annual Family Fun Day at Womble Park in Holly Springs. The event attracted dozens of families with a DJ, ice cream, inflatable slide, and kid-friendly activities. As part of the celebration, the Schroeders chose to partner with Second Chance Pet Adoption, a local animal rescue, to raise funds (over $7,000!) in Owen's name.

We invite you to join us on October 18, from 1-4, at Womble Park in Holly Springs, NC, for the Second Annual Family Fun Day. Stop by, meet some adoptable pets, and enjoy music, an inflatable slide, ice cream, and, new this year, Lego-building and paper airplane-flying contests (with prizes)! This family-friendly event is entirely free of charge, and all donations made through this GoFundMe or in-person will go directly to Second Chance Pet Adoption.
