2/15/26 Update: Seca is currently on an antibiotic, steroids, and a blood thinner to prevent
clotting. We had a recheck with her interal medicine specialist; where her repeat repeat bloodwork shows her RBC (red blood cells) are holding steady and there is evidence on path review of her bone marrow showing regeneration of RBC’s. This so far given her prior condition is the best news we could hear.
One of her liver enzymes is still elevated, but we’re hopeful this is still related to the anemia. Essentially, her liver is saying “Ouch, we need more oxygen” (which is the job of the RBC’s). We are continuing with her course of treatment for now and then will consult with her Internal Medicine Specialist in 2 weeks. again I am incredibly thankful for everyone who has donated and shared. If everyone could please be so kind to continue to help Seca, as each visit is quite costly and unfortunately we’re not out of the woods yet. But most importantly Seca is starting to feel better and we are so grateful to have our baby girl acting more like her quirky self ❤️❤️

2/8/26 If you know me, you know Seca is not just my dog — she is my heart.

Seca is currently in critical care at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls fighting acute anemia. Tonight she is receiving a life-saving blood transfusion. We ruled out cancer in her chest through X-rays, which was a blessing, but she is still very sick and unstable.

Just stabilizing her tonight is $10,000.

The doctors at Red Bank have faith in her strength, and so do I. Seca has always been resilient — strong, stubborn, and full of personality. She’s the dog who closes her eyes in the sun like she owns the world. The dog who melts into your hands when you scratch her chin. The one who has gotten me through some of the hardest moments of my life.

We are taking this hour by hour. Depending on how she responds to the transfusion, she may need ongoing treatment and further care. I am committed to giving her every chance possible.

If you’re able to donate, even a small amount helps more than I can explain. If you can’t donate, sharing this means everything.

Thank you for believing in her fight. She’s not done yet. ❤️‍
