We’ve been blown away by the response to this campaign. The outpouring of support, your kind messages, generous contributions, and your belief in us means more than we can say in a simple update to this page.

When we set our original goal at $5,000, it was mainly to cover the cost of pressing vinyl, which actually may use up almost the full original goal. We weren’t expecting to raise enough for anything beyond that— maybe a little leftover for basic marketing, if we were lucky. We weren’t even factoring in the costs of shipping, or the cut that GoFundMe takes.

Because of your support, we’ve started to feel like we may really be able to give this album legs, to have a larger marketing budget and get it out into the world.

So here’s exactly what we will spend any additional funds on, and just to be clear, we’re not taking a cut or recouping anything ourselves. Every dollar goes directly into the album and its release—

Promotion – For the first time, we’re building a small but focused budget for online ads to help this music (and Zach’s story) reach new ears and get a real shot at catching the algorithm’s attention.

Shipping & handling – A practical but important expense to get vinyl to our (it turns out) global audience as quickly and safely as possible.

Paying our amazing creative team – The two Sam's: Sam Kellman (photography) and Sam Goldman (graphic design). They’ve brought incredible vision and heart to this project, and we’re so grateful to keep it in the family and compensate them fairly.

A higher quality vinyl package – To make the physical experience as beautiful and thoughtful as the music itself.

Offsetting GoFundMe’s platform fees – Which, unexpectedly, take a notable cut from each donation.

The response has been so overwhelming, we realized we have a real opportunity to reach more people than we ever thought possible— and we believe this music deserves that chance.

We are beyond grateful for the momentum you’ve given us. This album is a deeply personal labor of love, and thanks to you, it might just go further than we ever thought possible.

With your help, Nick + Noah will produce a vinyl double album collecting 10 years of original pop music inspired by the four seasons.
