Hello!

My name is Searon Parker, and I am a student at Augusta University studying for a minor in Spanish. I am 20 years old, and I've always wanted to travel the world and learn about other cultures. I was first interested in learning Spanish through a small guidebook my mom got me in 6th grade in the school book fair. I always wished to better myself in Spanish since then, but never felt the drive that I really needed to do so. After covid, that same need to find ways to learn Spanish was reawakened for me, and I tried my best to learn as much as I can. For the next 3 years, I've been practicing and learning the basic and intermediate Spanish that I had time for. Fast forward to November, and I get an offer to come join Augusta University students to make a trip to Spain for the Summer of '26. This was weird to me, I never thought Id be able to travel at such a young age. That dream always felt so distant, but now I hope I’ll be able to see the world for what it truly can be.
