Saturday, August 3rd on Sean’s way to work he hydroplaned and flipped into a ditch. He was taken to the nearest hospital and was sent home later that same day with pain meds. He had a cut on his head and a hematoma on his right leg. They were told he would be okay and to go back to work a few days after. Sean was in severe pain and stayed out of work a couple of extra days to make sure he would be healed enough. As the days went by, the hematoma on his leg continued to swell but Claridy and Sean were told it was normal and he would be just fine. Friday, August 9th, Sean returned to work and worked his 12 hour shift. When he got home from work his leg was extremely swollen and he was in severe pain. His mom Stephanie took him to the ER immediately. When he was there, they gave him an oral antibiotic and said that he just had an infection. That night, Sean was sent home with an antibiotic and pain meds. A few days later he went to follow up with his primary care physician and they were shocked. They said this was the worst infection they had seen and Sean needed to go to an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible. Usually it takes months to get an appointment but Sean was brought in the next day. The surgeon Sean was sent to looked at it and immediately sent him to the hospital for surgery. He has had 2 surgeries so far and there are more to come. Anyone who knows Sean and Claridy know that Claridy is a stay at home mom and Sean works A LOT. Sean is their only source of income and with missing so much work they have nothing coming in. They have family to help but the medical bills are going to continue to add up and Sean is going to have a pretty extensive recovery. If you feel led to help,please do so.
