Let's keep this going for Sean he's fighting let's fight for Sean. Sending lots of love this holiday season.
Asking for help for my nephew Sean. He was admitted last Thursday Nov.6, 2025. to University of Utah for a lung transplant. This started with pneumonia about a year ago. They named it interstitial lung disease and auto immune disease. His wishes are to have a lung transplant that would give him a few years so he could see he 11 year old daughter graduate high-school. We got the call that a donor was available. Without the transplant he would only have a few months to live. There was so much testing before hand it took months to get him on the donor list. Noone knew what to expect. Here are the messages and updates as the process is continuing. Please pray and any financial help is appreciated even if everyone donated 1 dollar as he will be at least 6 months to a year plus in recovery. He will have many needs medical expenses, living expenses, rehabilitation, medications to name a few.

Right lung in started left lung. When they opened him his lungs were so deteriorated they had to cut them out in pieces.

Both lungs are in. Continuing surgery.

They could not close his chest because his lungs were so swollen and inflamed that they were deteriorated in pieces and they had to cut out all the different little pieces and that took a long time and it caused a lot of bleeding he has had all of his blood replaced many times. The new lungs in but they're not breathing on their own so they're on a machine they left his chest open because they have to watch for bleeding they said he is under anesthesia but he can hear the Drs. were trying to get him to move his fingers or his toes or something to be sure he was still with us. They were yelling at him to wake him. He wouldn't respond so they called my sister in there asking her to talk to him and ask him to move his fingers to move something so she whispered in his ear and he started waving his hand. they want to make sure that his brain is okay because he was out for so long and that's why they need him to respond so they're going to put him in a drug-induced coma and keep him open until Wednesday and they hope that then the swelling and the bleeding will stop and they will try to close him then he will have to go back to ICU for 2 weeks there are four nurses 24/7 taking care of him after that if he makes it through that they will unplug the breathing machine and see if he can breathe on his own when they pull him out of the coma if not they will have to let him go if he does breathe they will put him in another ICU for another three to four weeks to watch him. They said when his Mom talked to him that was the most active he had been since they had him under so that was a good sign.
