Support Sean's Treatment and Recovery!

Hello everyone, we hope you are staying healthy and safe during these very trying times. Those of you who know  Sean knows he has many people in his life who depend on him and who love him very much. He is a great son, father, brother and friend and we need him around for many years to come!

In early December last year, Sean visited the emergency room with sudden stomach pain.  He was immediately hospitalized and soon went into emergency surgery.  He then spent a week in the ICU before being diagnosed with a large 5 cm adenocarcinoma tumor of his right colon, which was found to be cancerous, staged IIIb, originally.

After over 40 days of healing in the hospital and losing over 50 pounds, Sean was finally discharged on Jan 31st and made it home for New Years! Yay! He was ready to start the crazy six month course of chemotherapy and continue his healing.  However, more severe complications soon arose due to blood clots and open wound issues, requiring more emergency surgeries and many more hospital stays.

Chemotherapy has finally started after waiting so many months to stabilize and he is very thankful for that! Unfortunately,  we are finding that receiving it has been hit and miss due to recent low blood counts in addition to the current health crisis; the doctors are deciding week by week to move forward or wait for new medications that will boost his immune system.

After everything, Sean is just looking forward to a good stretch of treatments so he can get a handle on how the chemo is effecting him and what to expect with the future treatments.  He also is expecting several more abdominal surgeries over the next year once chemotherapy has been completed.  So this fight is no where near over.   Sean has been unable to work and likely won't be able to secure a job until at least the end of the year.

He is very grateful to and for everyone that has been able to be there to support him while at the hospital and once he finally returned home and is looking forward to making new memories in the near future with all of you, especially his children and family! He is also extremely grateful for those close to him who've tried to help him maintain his financial responsibilities and commitments as best they can during his prolonged medical crisis.

We thank you for taking the time to read this;  if you find yourself in a place where you can help and contribute, your generosity is extremely appreciated.  If not we completely understand as well, and just ask if you could please forward this along to as many people as possible to share Sean's story! Thank you for listening and stay healthy! We will keep you updated with his progress!

Love,
Stacy and Sean
