We’ve created this GoFundMe to support our dear friend Sean during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. We know how overwhelming the financial burden of cancer treatment can be—and now, more than ever, he needs his community beside him.

Sean was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. The cancer has spread to his bones, kidney area, and chest, and he is currently being treated at Maine Medical Center. His medical team is working quickly to develop a treatment plan that will include chemotherapy. On top of this devastating diagnosis, Sean is currently uninsured and unable to work for the foreseeable future.

This journey will be long and challenging. Our hope is to ease some of the financial strain so Sean can focus solely on his health and recovery—not the weight of medical bills or basic living expenses. We also want to ensure that his beloved dog, Sonic, is safe and cared for financially during this time. Sonic is Sean’s loyal companion and best friend, and keeping them connected and supported is vital to Sean’s emotional well-being.

Although this diagnosis is incredibly devastating and fresh, we want to be able to support Sean as much as possible and keep his contagious laugh spreading across the hospital and into our hearts.

For those who don’t know Sean, he is one of the most selfless, compassionate people you could ever meet. His heart is always tuned to the needs of others—whether it’s offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or being a constant source of encouragement. Now, it’s our turn to give back to him.
