To Sean's Friends and Family,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother, Sean Massey, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Sean is more than just a friend and family member. He is the kind of person who lights up a room, makes people feel seen and heard, and would drop everything to help someone in need. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

This diagnosis came out of nowhere and has turned Sean, and his wife Emmie's, lives upside down. They just purchased their first home together this year in Florida, but have made the difficult decision to complete treatment away from home and receive it in Boston at Dana Farber. His treatment must begin right away, which will include surgery, an aggressive three months of chemotherapy, and other medical care to follow.

While he’s staying strong and positive about this unexpected news, the financial burden may become overwhelming from medical bills, time off from work, travel to and from appointments, and everyday living expenses. In addition, Emmie will be traveling back and forth from Florida to support Sean while still taking care of their two dogs and home down south.
