As many of you know, late last year I was laid off from my job. Shortly after my car was stolen off the street and I didn't have the proper "full coverage" insurance to replace it. I have been super lucky to have friends and family to make sure I haven't gone hungry, have not felt alone, and have had temporary use of a family member's car. The truth is unemployment has not been enough to keep me afloat and it's now ended. I find myself at risk of losing everything else I have worked so hard for. After some conversations with close friends and family and at their suggestion I am asking for help. Help to get caught up on rent, utilities, and maybe even enough to get myself a super cheap car.
I have applied for HUNDREDS of jobs including retail and fast food. I've been on over a dozen interviews and for some reason have been unable to get call backs. I know a lot of people are in the same position.
I'm not always the best at telling people what's going on or asking for help. I feel embarrassed and it's really beginning to affect my overall mental health. I've applied to assistance programs but did not qualify.
So, here I am. Asking for help from my friends and family. Every little bit will help and be appreciate beyond measure. Thank you so, very much for taking the time.
