Support Sean Clifford's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
On Thursday, March 7th, Sean Clifford's life took an unexpected turn. During a business trip in Miami, he suffered a major stroke. An ambulance was called immediately, and Sean was rushed to Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Within the following three days, Sean endured three brain surgeries in order to survive.
Thanks to the skill of Sean's neurosurgeon and dedicated medical staff, Sean is stable and in recovery. He is currently on a rehabilitation floor undergoing regular Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Sean had an additional surgery to put the bone flap back in place on April 15th. The next step is inpatient neuro rehabilitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Beach.
To ensure Sean receives the best possible care throughout his hospital stay and rehab, Leslie and Sean's immediate families were able to find rental homes close to the hospital in Miami. In the long term it is expected that Sean will continue to heal and regain function of his left side, throughout his following outpatient rehabilitation at home in New Jersey.
On top of these challenges, Leslie and Sean are expecting a baby in August. This wonderful news comes alongside the significant financial burden of Sean's medical care, ongoing rehabilitation, and the need for lodging in Miami while Leslie is unable to work and Sean recovers. We are asking for your help to alleviate some of the financial strain on the Clifford family during this critical time. The contributions will go directly towards Sean's medical expenses, temporary relocation costs, live-in care, and ensuring their family has the support they need to focus on Sean's recovery.
Despite this extremely difficult experience, Sean has remained remarkably strong, positive, and focused on his recovery. His sense of humor is still intact, often making jokes with the medical staff which helps to keep spirits high. He loves the company of his family everyday, especially McKenna whose energy and laughter truly provides the best medicine. Lastly, the Clifford family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support they've received from friends and family during this challenging time. Your kind words, prayers, and well wishes have been a source of strength for Sean and his entire family.
Gratefully,
