Help Me Build a New Primary School in Africa!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

This year, I lost my father, a man whose lifelong dream was to build a new school in regional Zimbabwe, where many children lack access to quality education. To honour his memory, a small team and I have set out to bring his dream to life – but, we can’t do it alone.

We’re building a school in the town of Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe, where children currently travel very long distances to attend the nearest school. We believe that every child deserves a chance to learn close to home.

About the School

The S.E. Mutanga Academy, named in honour of my late father has already broken ground in Chinhoyi. This school will provide a quality education for children aged 4-13 in a region that desperately needs it.

Our goal is to welcome our first cohort in 2025, but we’re scarily behind schedule. Funding issues and building delays have put us in a race against time to have the doors open for our first class of Prep students.

Sebastian Mutanga dedicated over 40 years to education as a teacher and Principal in Zimbabwe. He believed in holistic education that embraces sports, the arts, and academic excellence. His vision lives on in the S.E. Mutanga Academy, and we are honoured to carry it forward.
