Scotty is in the fight of life, battling acute myeloid leukemia that has spread to the spine. While treatments are helping, this cancer has also affected the central nervous system, causing severe pain and impacting hearing, eyesight, and brain function. It has been an incredibly difficult road for Scotty and the family, filled with emotional and physical challenges that no one should have to face alone. Along with standing by Scotty through treatment, the family also hopes that some support can go toward spine cancer research in hopes of helping others facing similar battles.

Donations will help ease the many costs that come with Scotty’s care, including noncovered tests and treatments, parking fees, transportation costs, and home healthcare. Looking ahead, support will also help with hospice and funeral expenses when that time comes. The Jeep community encouraged Alethea to create this fundraiser and organized an October 24th event to rally around Scotty’s battle and other community fundraisers.
