For the past two seasons, I have helped coach a Special Olympics soccer team in Scottsdale, Arizona. Unfortunately, the program has been dropped for the upcoming Fall season due to budget constraints. In order to keep the team together and continue offering a soccer program to Special Olympic athletes in Scottsdale and the surrounding Phoenix area, I have decided to create an independent soccer team known as the Scottsdale Dust Devils. This team will compete in Special Olympics of Arizona events, ensuring that these athletes still have a place to play, grow, and connect.

The funds raised will be used to cover jerseys, practice t-shirts, soccer balls, other soccer equipment, practice field rental, website development, and end of season celebrations. Our mission is to create an independent soccer program for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Scottsdale and greater Phoenix area that will foster confidence, friendships, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles through the game of soccer. We are committed to building a positive, encouraging environment where every athlete is valued and has the opportunity to succeed. Every athlete deserves the excitement of being part of a team, and our goal is to provide a high-quality soccer experience that emphasizes inclusion, respect, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
