Scott is a dedicated hard worker who has always gone above and beyond for others. He’s known for his funny personality and a kind heart that touches everyone—whether you’re family, a friend, a coworker, or one of his patients. This past year has been especially tough for him. In November, Scott was hospitalized for heart trouble and had stents placed. Despite the seriousness of his condition, he returned to work after only five days, showing his determination and resilience.

Unfortunately, things didn’t get easier. In late February, Scott’s car transmission failed, and just a week later, while working his second job caring for his friends’ pets, he suffered blisters in the back of his eye due to Fuchs dystrophy. This forced him to take more time off work until his vision improved enough to get by. Then, four weeks ago, Scott suffered a heart attack. Now, any activity outside of resting leaves him with chest pains and exhaustion, requiring medication and days of recovery. He is waiting to see the cardiovascular team, but so far, his cardiology team hasn’t given him much hope.

Being out of work is rough on Scott, who hates sitting idle. His bills still need to be paid, he needs to get to medical appointments, and he needs to eat.
