If you've attended live music events in the Des Moines Metro area, chances are you’ve seen Scott. Or at least heard his contribution to the band’s sound. Scott is a local musician and sound engineer extraordinaire, who has played in many bands and mixed the sound for many of the popular bands in the area over the past fifty years, including mixing visiting and local musicians at the Drake Turner Jazz Center. Scott has also been a familiar face at the annual Taste of the Junction since its inception, mixing the bands and the speakers/presenters.

After suffering a heart attack, Scott underwent a successful triple bypass surgery on June 22, 2024 and is doing well with a full recovery expected.

We, a group of his friends, suggested starting a GoFundMe, to which Scott immediately said no. However, after realizing the financial impact of hospital bills, living expenses, and loss of income due to being unable to work for likely three months, Scott agreed.
