Support Scott's Recovery from Brain Injury

Scott Williamson, whether you know him in Botetourt as “Swills” or in Lynchburg as “Dennis,” is a volunteer fire lieutenant for the Fincastle Fire Department. He’s a career fireman for the City of Lynchburg, loves fighting fire, getting tattoos, animals, and going to concerts. If you know Scott at all, you’ll know that he’s extremely loving and would do anything for anyone. He cares so much for all of his crews at Fincastle and at work and adores dogs and horses.

He’s currently in the neurological ICU at Lynchburg General Hospital for a brain injury. They discovered Lyme disease, which has lowered his heart rate to a dangerous level and caused him to pass out, hitting his head. He suffered a brain bleed. He still woke up and went to work, where he was immediately transported to the hospital. He’s very stubborn, as all firemen are, and doesn’t want to admit when he needs help. Hospital bills are stacking up quickly with multiple CT scans and several days spent in the ICU. Anything to help out him and his family is greatly appreciated. He would do the same for any of us.

Hospital bills, medications, and transportation for him and his family will be extensive, alongside a lot of time off work due to his injuries. Donations, visits, thoughts, and prayers are all greatly appreciated during this time. He’s a fireman’s fireman; help a brother out in a time of need.
