First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has continued to pray, reach out, support, donate, and share kindness with our family during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
On March 22nd, our dad, Scott, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and severe anoxic brain injury. After a long hospitalization, he is finally home but he now requires around-the-clock care and supervision. While we are grateful to have him out of the hospital, the reality of this journey has been overwhelming emotionally, physically, and financially for our family.
Scott is still unable to work, communicate normally, manage finances, or care for himself independently at this time. We are taking things day by day while trying to navigate medical care, therapies, appointments, and the uncertainty of what recovery may look like moving forward.
At the same time, bills continue piling up including his mortgage, vehicle was already repossessed, motorcycle payment, utilities, insurance, and everyday living expenses. Our biggest fear is losing the things he worked so hard for while he fights to recover.
Right now, much of the daily caregiving responsibility has fallen on Valerie, who is due with her second child in just days. The emotional and physical weight she is carrying right now is unimaginable. While I fly in as often as I can to help, balancing the needs of my own family back home while trying to support my dad and sister has been incredibly difficult as well.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping cover Scott’s bills, medical-related expenses, and preserving stability for him during this crisis. If you are unable to donate, prayers, positive thoughts, and simply sharing this fundraiser truly mean more than words can express.
Thank you again for standing beside our family during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. We appreciate every single one of you more than you know. ❤️
