For the love of trees: Support Scott’s Recovery
Donation protected
One of our own, Scott Kissiah, a well known tree climber and member of the ISA, was severely injured during a hazardous tree removal recently. He suffered a detrimental fall from a large dead oak tree that he was starting to work on. By the grace of God, Scott is still here with us but has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. My goal is to help raise money for Scott’s bills and personal needs while he focuses on his rehabilitation and healing. Please donate if you can and share this please
Thank you all in advance
Words from Scott
My number got called. Was climbing a dead red oak with sap rot. Got to the very top to start removal, then as soon as I shifted my body weight into position the entire lead/ branch I was tied into broke from the tree trunk. I fell between 65 and 80ft.
4 surgeries in all. Fusions and over 20 screws in my neck, shattered pelvis with titanium screws holding everything together and then fused and screwed to my spine.
Not my first encounter but once again, Death, you missed me.
Still here, Still laughing it off and talking shit. Forced vacation till my next set of adventures.
slow me down but you can't stop me
