Hello, and thank you for taking the time to view this campaign.
I am asking for help for my father, Scott, who recently had a devastating fall out of an attic when his ladder slipped out from under him on a slick epoxy garage floor. My dad is a home and building inspector, and was right at the end of his inspection when the accident happened. Praise God the perspective home buyer was in the building to find him!
From the fall straight down, my dad broke his heel in several places (completely shattered it), and the pain was 10/10. And yet, my dad being the strong man he is, decided to drive himself from the house in Naples all the way up to Health Park in Fort Myers (closest to home), where he then sat in the ER for 4 hours before finally getting his x-ray results! Unfortunately, he needs surgery.
A week of pain on the couch after the accident later, he finally met with a surgeon. God is good and placed him with the BEST foot surgeon in Florida, but even so, the news was worse then expected. What is needed is a reconstruction with a steal plate and screws/pins, and at least 6 months off of work to recover (3-4 months in a cast, followed by a month or two in a boot, and tons of PT before he is back to normal.) In the blink of an eye, his livelihood and ability to work for half a year was stripped away!
I am asking, please, for financial aid for my parents in this time! Though they do have minimal health insurance, we all know that insurance just does not cover what is needed. Not only do they need to pay for:
- the expensive surgery itself, but also:
- Physical Therapy and doctors visits after the surgery
- Loss-of-work (expenses) for 6 months: Mortage, groceries, utilities, bills, etc.
- On-going business expenses
My parents are self-employed and run their own inspection business. My mom runs the back end, while dad does the inspections and reports. But with dad not able to physically get out and do the inspections for a while, they will have no income.
If you have ever met my parents, you know how are amazing and generous they are to all, but it is hard for them to ask for financial help, so I am doing it for them. They are always givers, but now it is their season to receive, and I ask that you consider donating, please, to help them get through this difficult and stressful season!!
I know that God is in control and will provide and take care of them in all ways, no matter what, but I thank you so much for your help and consideration! I pray that God can use this platform to bless them!!
