Scott, my mom's husband, is someone who has always been there for others, ready to lend a hand or offer support whenever it was needed. On Sunday, 02/01, Scott went to the ER thinking nothing of his situation. It quickly turned traumatic when he went into cardiac arrest and lost his heartbeat. Life saving measures took place for quite some time before bringing him back. He is now on life support and was life flighted to Boise for specialized care. He’s been on multiple life-saving medications. His kidneys weren’t functioning properly, so the doctor started him on dialysis. His blood pressure has been a point of concern and medications have been in place to try to regulate it. Scott is still sedated. The cause of all of this is still unknown and the outcome is uncertain. This sudden and traumatic event has left Scott and our family facing not only emotional stress but also significant financial challenges. The costs of the life flight, ongoing medical bills, travel expenses, and regular household bills are quickly adding up. On top of that, both Scott and my mom will be out of work for quite some time. We are doing everything we can to support him, but we know we can’t do it alone. We are reaching out to our community for help during this incredibly difficult time.
