My name is Dana, and I’m raising funds for my younger brother, Scott. For the past three years, Scott has faced serious health challenges that left him unable to work. He applied for Social Security Disability, but after being denied once and hiring an attorney, he has now been waiting close to two years for a decision.

In the meantime, Scott has fallen into debt and is struggling not only with his health, but also with the weight of financial stress and depression. I have helped with his rent and expenses as much as possible, but as I am also caring for our mother with dementia, I can no longer cover his needs on my own.

This fundraiser will help Scott with rent, utilities, food, and basic living costs while he waits for the support he should already be receiving. We are all only one medical crisis away from being in a similar situation, and Scott’s story shows how broken the system can be for those who truly need help.
