Support Scott's Journey Through Recovery

Three weeks ago, Scott experienced a sudden episode of severe abdominal pain and was rushed to the ER. He was sent home with prescriptions and instructions to return if things got worse. Unfortunately, things took a serious turn.

On Saturday, April 12th, Scott’s appendix ruptured, and he underwent an emergency laparoscopic appendectomy. Just a few hours later, he developed a gastrointestinal bleed and had to be rushed back into the operating room for an emergency open surgery. The complications didn’t end there.

The following Sunday, April 20th, Scott required another open surgery for a bowel resection and repair. Then, on April 28th, his condition became critical once again, and he was life-flighted to Kootenai Medical Center. There, he underwent a fourth major surgery — this time a colectomy with further bowel resection.

Scott has been through more in a few weeks than most endure in a lifetime. He’s a fighter, but the road ahead is long. He now faces a challenging and extended recovery process, including time in rehab to regain his strength and mobility.
