Support Scott's Journey After Vision Loss
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I made this GoFundMe for my dear friend and co-worker, Scott Diamond. His health has been a rollercoaster this past year. Unfortunately, last weekend he woke up nearly blind. He went to Wills Eye Emergency Room and was admitted for 1 week and 1 day. They did all they could to restore his vision, but sadly the loss is permanent. His condition is called Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Nueropathy. Scott doesn’t have any family near and he also lives alone. One step at a time he is trying to adjust to this sudden change as he cannot drive or work, among many other things. Some may know, on top of that, he is on dialysis 3 days a week. Any donation will help provide help with daily transportation to dialysis or wherever he needs to go. Donations will also help him pay his bills, food etc., since he is now unemployed. He also lives on the second floor which is no longer safe for him. We are working on getting him on permanent disability, but as most know, it’s a long process. If you read this far, thank you. Even a share would be so appreciated to get the word around because he knows so, so many people.

* Update * To try and save him money we tried to return his car but since it is a lease there is a pay off fee of 2,500 which Scott does not have. To add to the storm he also needs to replace his refrigerator that is another $800. Otherwise Scott is thankfully getting other guidance and is doing well and we are just taking it day by day.
*Edit* I was going to start a meal train for him but he is only 1 person. Anyone who would like to help with meals feel free to message me. Thank you all.
Also, thank you to those who donated and or shared!
