My brother Scott has faced unimaginable challenges over the past two years. After suffering a stroke, he never fully regained his strength or health, and around Christmas, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. During his last hospital stay, it was found that the cancer had spread to his liver and lungs and he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He is now on hospice care, and the nurses have told us that his time could be minutes, hours, or days—no one really knows. Throughout this time, Scott was unable to return to work, which means he does not have any life insurance to help cover the expenses that will result from his passing.

If you knew Scott, you knew his determination. He was a busy man, always working on cars, motorcycles, hunting, fishing—you name it, he did it. Scott was constantly working with his hands and had so many things planned in life. This diagnosis has completely stung and shocked our entire family, and losing him will be a very hard loss for us.

As his siblings, Brandon and I want to support our parents as much as possible during this difficult time. The financial burden of funeral arrangements and cremation is overwhelming, especially while we are all grieving and trying to process everything that is happening. We want to ensure Scott is honored in a way that brings comfort to our family, without the added stress of worrying about costs.
