update 1/16/26
Well it pains me to say we’re back at it. We were able to complete photon radiation at the end of June. We were very optimistic for once again positive results and possibly an end to this hard chapter of our lives. My dad always says God will only give you what he thinks you can handle and sometime I believe he believes in us too much.
We found after two years of fighting to see a heart doctor that Scott’s heart has been damaged due to radiation and complications from it. Also with our extensive treatment to the esophagus it has actually paralyzed the esophagus and it is slowly sealing shut.
Our surgeon believes the only was to adress the major weight loss and have a fighting chance at beating this horrible disease is to try and put expanders in the esophagus. This will require two weeks of every other day procedures where they will go in and slowly open the esophagus. This will help with a lot of critical issues we are facing.
There is a shame in asking for help once again as Scott and myself are two very hard working people who have just had a lot thrown at us in the last five years and Scott ain’t ready to give up yet. We’re asking for donations to help with room/board and what will arise. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
We are blessed to have such a supportive family and community who has always backed us and helped us when times have gotten hard. Like Cheyanne says, “ mama, one day daddy’s gonna wake up and not be sick anymore”. I pray every night she’s right. Thank you for your support and like always #fuckcancer

Hello, my husband Scott was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021. He underwent chemotherapy followed by the removal of the bottom two lobes of his right lung.
In 2023, his cancer had returned to the remaining bronchial tube, which led to the removal of the entire lung. We thought we had finally beaten it.
Following the removal, we faced a massive infection in the lung cavity that left Scott in the hospital for six weeks with multiple surgeries.
In September of 2024, Scott's cancer had returned, and he underwent radiation. In May, we found yet again his cancer had returned. Scott is undergoing radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy for the next six weeks at the Mayo Clinic.
We have traveled to the Mayo Clinic for the last five years, and because of the multiple appointments daily, Scott will have to stay in the area. We are asking for help to aid in the cost for accommodations for travel and lodging. We are not ones to look for handouts and have really just exhausted all avenues to fight this horrible disease.
Scott is a resident of Tiskilwa, Illinois. He has three beautiful daughters and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. He has been inspiration during this battle and always has looked light during dark times.
Thank you for any donation; it is greatly appreciated. We have such a great village of supporters. Thank you for reading.
