Scott is my friend, and he’s facing one of the toughest battles of his life. At 61, he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer that requires urgent treatment—without it, his life is at risk. On top of this, Scott has already survived a mild heart attack and lives with chronic fatigue and carotid vascular disease, which makes his arteries too small to stent. He doesn’t have a running vehicle and lives 30 miles from the nearest large city, making access to care and daily needs even more challenging. Despite applying for Social Security Insurance after his heart attack, he’s been turned down twice, and he’s currently trying to get covered under Tenncare from the state.
Scott is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He’s always there to help others, and his kindness shines through in everything he does. He’s also a talented metal sculptor, creating beautiful lawn ornaments that bring joy to those around him. He is also a musician and singer who went to Berklee College of Music. Right now, Scott needs our help. The funds raised will go directly toward his medical treatments, covering previous bills, helping with transportation, and supporting his daily living expenses while he fights this battle.
If you’re able to contribute, know that your support will mean the world to Scott. Every donation, no matter the size, will help him get the care he needs and remind him that he’s not alone. Thank you for considering a gift to help Scott through this difficult time.
