- Help Scott Beat Cancer
Scott Stewart, my son's father, has spent his whole life taking care of other people — his two sons, his crew at the golf course, anyone who needed a hand. He's the guy who shows up early, stays late, never complains, and never asks for anything in return. For the first time in his life, Scott needs us.
Scott was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer. During treatment, he developed a severe strep infection that spread to his brain and bloodstream. He became septic and is now hospitalized at UCSF, down to 118 pounds, unable to walk or care for himself. The road ahead includes at least six weeks of intensive acute care, IV antibiotics, physical therapy, and occupational therapy — followed by long-term cancer treatment and recovery.
