I posted a video of Scottie giving birth that has since gone viral, and some people were asking me to start a GoFundMe. Anything helps, we’re just grateful to have so much support.

We adopted our sweet girl, Scottie, a month ago. We paid $500 and were told that that fee was meant to cover all vaccines and her spaying. The owner of the rescue told us we would need to come back for that and to text her so we can get on the procedure list, but when we texted her the following Monday, it began a month long ghosting where Scottie received none of the promised medical care. In addition, we took her to the vet twice since we got her, each time asking about her enlarged nipples and vulva, and we were just told that it was due to her being three and not yet spayed. They did not do an x-ray to see if she was pregnant, and told us simply that she would be going into heat soon.

As a result, she gave birth on Saturday, surprising us with three puppies. Since then, we have already been to the emergency vet to try and save the runt, who died this morning. This cost, along with the cost of puppy pads and a pen to keep them in safely, has already put us out about $300.

We plan to contact the rescue and hope that they will be cooperative in covering medical care for the babies as well as spaying Mama and finishing her vaccines when she is medically able to handle that, but reading some of the more negative reviews makes us a little nervous.

In the case that they will not handle any of that, we will be responsible for spaying our dog, and getting all three of them their shots, as well as purchasing food and other supplies like heating pads.
