Hi everyone, we, Kari and Scott's friends, wanted to send out an update.

Scott is going through his treatment like a champ! That being said there is a long road ahead, Kari will be staying home with Scott throughout his treatment and so they are

exploring options for her to retire earlier than planned. Therefore it would be great if we could help raise some more funds to support this amazing family through this process.

Hello Everyone,

I am writing on behalf of my friend and Coworker of Kari Stoll. Recently we were all shocked to learn that Kari's husband Scott has a mass/tumor in the frontal lobe of his brain. During the meeting with the doctor, he told them that surgery was necessary to try and de-bulk as much as possible of the tumor. It spans across the left and right side of Scott's frontal lobe. Surgery is scheduled at Anschutz University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO, for Friday at 2pm. We hope you will join the Stoll family in praying (or sending good vibes) for Scott and his surgery team during this time. Scott will recover in the hospital for the first 4-5 days following surgery, and the follow-up appointment with his doctor will be in 2 weeks, where results of the pathology report will come back and next steps for treatment/therapy/recovery will be discussed. The family are aware of the possibilities and continue to pray for miracles. We continue to be so grateful for all the love being poured onto Scott, Kari and RJ from so many people near and far.

As you can imagine this is not only extremely tough emotionally but will take its toll financially as well. Kari has taken a leave from her job at school to support Scott through this process and so that they can be with the best medical team they can be in Denver. Their son RJ has just started school this fall at Western State in Gunnison, Colorado and at this time will be commuting to be with his parents when he can. There will be costs to staying near the hospital when needed, driving to and from Gunnison, and Aspen to Denver, extra food cost with not being at home and an array of other things that come up with medical issues. We ask that our amazing community support this family as they navigate the road ahead.
