Support Scott Shirley's Journey with Parkinson's

Hi friends and family.

Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease with mild cognitive impairment last year. The Parkinson's was caught early (phew!) but the cognitive issues have caused the most trouble, essentially forcing dad into an early retirement if you will. We have learned that the term 'mild cognitive impairment' is not as easy as the it sounds. It comes with substantial memory and retention problems. With this cognitive issues, holding down a job poses many issues so we are in the process of getting dad long term financial assistance. Getting this assistance is a long arduous process that is proving to be financially draining.

We are asking for some help from our community to cover his living expenses for the next 6 months. We have hopes by then the housing program he has applied for will come through and alleviate the majority of the financial burden.
