Thank you all for your support. We will keep this page open in honor of Scott’s memory and to continue out community’s support of Mellise, Nolan, and Colt.
Please stand by in the near future for Scott’s funeral/memorial services.
On behalf of the Scofield family, thank you for your endless love and support.

Scott Scofield, a devoted husband, father, longtime electrician, and friend to many of us, was recently diagnosed with cancer.
As many of you may know, Scott is a very private individual. He has no social media and was even hesitant when approached about having this created for him and his family. After consideration and permission, this GoFundMe was created by a friend to help support the Scofield family in a time of need and will hopefully reach those that have known Scott going back to grade school. Many of us have lost contact with each other and this isn't the most ideal way to catch up, but prayers and considerations to this cause will help.
Scott is supported by his wife, Mellise, and their two wonderful boys, Nolan and Colt. Scott spends most of his time being there for his family—cheering on his sons at their soccer, football, and baseball games both as a fan and coach.
In his spare time, Scott discovered a passion spending time outdoors through playing golf and taking trips with his wife. When Scott is able to get away from working on the weekends, he and his wife have traveled across the country to find areas to hike, including recently hiking to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite.
Scott has always worked hard, prioritized his family, worked the extra days on weekends when side projects were available, all while rarely asking for help. As mentioned above, this was created to support Scott and his family through this journey, but to also show that he has the support and prayers of others he has met and lost contact with over the years.
Funds raised through this page will help in two critical ways:
- Covering everyday living expenses while Scott is unable to work and on disability, so the family can focus on healing rather than financial stress
- Helping Scott access the best possible medical care and treatment options to give him the strongest chance to beat this disease and return to the life he loves—as a husband, dad, coach, and provider.
Scott, Mellise, Nolan, and Colt are thankful for your consideration. Your support—whether it's a small gift, a large gift, or even just a prayer—will make a meaningful difference and remind them they are not alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading Scott’s story and for any help you can provide. Every contribution brings hope, strength, and a little more light to their journey.
