Scott Sabourin has always stepped up for his team, using his physicality and defensive skill to enhance the play of everyone around him. As a dedicated member of the Tampa Bay Lightning program, Scott has shown time and again that he puts his teammates first, standing up for them both on and off the ice. Recently, Scott was fined for protecting his players against actions that crossed the line during the course of play. Many in the community, including myself, believe this fine is unfair and does not reflect the true spirit of the game or Scott’s commitment to his team.

The funds raised here will go directly toward covering Scott’s fined amount. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than what is needed, every extra dollar will be donated to a charity of Scott’s choice, further spreading the positive impact of your support. Scott’s leadership and courage have made a real difference for the Lightning, and now it’s our turn to stand up for him.
