My name is Scott Miller, and I received a diagnosis of tongue cancer on March 18, 2025. The tumor has affected my tongue, jaw, and face, making it impossible for me to consume solid foods. I now rely on a feeding tube for my nutrition. This condition has significantly impacted my health, leading me to go on disability as of July 16, 2025.
For the past twenty-four years, I have worked with Novant Medical Center in central sterile and distribution. I remain hopeful for my recovery, as I want to be there for my wife and three children. I have recently undergone intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatment. On August 4, 2025, I will have a PET scan to assess the effectiveness of the treatments and determine if further surgery is necessary.
I am profoundly grateful for any support anyone can provide during this challenging time. God bless you all.
